Our company name is derived from the heritage of one of our founders utilizing the Native American Choctaw (Chahta) language for water and innovation.

Gregory Senegal

CEO

Gregory Senegal, a distinguished policy expert, brings three decades of leadership in the public health sector and a BA in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. With executive management experience in non-profit organizations like Health Right 360 and His Sheltering Arms, he's helped shape state and national policies in mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. Since 2015, Gregory's been with Okavate Inc., advocating for progressive water policies to address pressing environmental challenges such as drought and pollution. His unique blend of public health and policy expertise made him the perfect fit for CEO in 2019, driving the company towards Atmospheric Water Generation as a keystone of the green economy.

Chris Schuring

COO

Chris Schuring comes with a broad career spanning across technology and sales since 1983. Having occupied vital roles in start-ups, he brings a wealth of expertise in strategic and tactical planning, sales, and marketing. His journey includes business ownership in energy consulting, waste-to-energy, and biofuels sectors. Internationally recognized, Chris has held operations and business development roles in several countries. His significant contributions to energy sector policy development, combined with his lobbying efforts, make him a key player in Okavate Inc.'s mission towards a sustainable future.

Sandra Senegal Purdom

MBA, BA Environmental Engineering

Sandra Senegal Purdom is a mechanical engineer boasting experience in environmental engineering design, project & program management, and manufacturing quality assurance since 1998. Co-owner and business manager of Quality Management Services, Inc.(QMS), she established the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business in 2007 to prioritize client service. Sandra also serves as the Vice-President and COO of QMS, where she manages various engineering and construction projects. Her extensive technical and corporate background are well suited to manage, control, and help grow the OkaVate, Inc. business. Sandra's affiliations with renowned organizations like the National Academy of Project Management, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the World Safety Organization (WSO) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) underscore her dedication to excellence in her field.
